Location and Infrastructure
The Yarrie project cover units of geology that extend from the BHP owned Yarrie iron-ore mining centre about 180km east of Port Hedland and 90 kilometres north-east of Marble Bar in the North Pilbara.
BHP commenced mining at Yarrie in 1993 on a ore-reserve of approximately 30 million tonnes that was generated by a number of iron-ore deposits in the Nimingarra Iron Formation that ranged up to 15 million tonnes and reported grades up to 66% Fe.
The CZR tenements include areas of outcropping Nimingarra to east and south of the BHP tenure and potential extensions under cover that can be outlined by the strong magnetic response from the prospective unit.
Future work will include drill follow-up of historical rock-chips and drill-holes with samples reporting Fe>50%.
